Seagull Century Stalls when in gear

Post by leachs4 »

I am running a century on a 14ft GRP boat it will run out of gear for as long as you like but when put into gear it pushes the boat along for a short period and then stalls, i think i have read somthing about the exhaust depth and problems but can't be sure.

Can anyone point me in a direction to start.

Thanks

Are you using the twin jet carb ?

If so check that the main jet is clear.

Engine number and pics will help.

Does sound like fuel starvation, I'd also clean out the float bowl, fuel line and fuel tank.
