Long range fuel tank transfer.

Post by skyetoyman »

Does anyone have a picture of the position of the tranfer lettering on a long range (8 pint) fuel tank.
Restoring a poor tank and would like to get them in the correct position

A tank similar to this one. The extra long range. This one is on a century. The one needing a repaint is on a silver century plus. with a clutch

Well, haven't you already got the picture of the position?

The large logo of British Seagull always goes along the top outside edge.

The picture is of the tank is the tank on my century longshaft. (restored by me) I do not think they are correct and would like to get at least one right.

Well I trawled through most of two sites to find what I did. I suggest you do also and you'll find it.

http://www.lagerholm.com/seagullnew.html

Maybe something there . . .

RBT -Thanks for those. As HID does not know I have this one and I will probably get away with it having a clutch ---- painting the tank Post Office red may not be a good idea.

Hey while were on the subject.
Could someone confirm if this was the correct transfer for a model LS in the 1956/57 era?
