We will bring our own Seagulls and an Avon Redcrest in case we can’t rent or borrow a more suitable boat. If we come with the LR 110 we can load a few boxes with Seagull parts and Seagull outboards. I’m delighted to meet the forum members in person during this (international) 'Seagull Meeting'.
[quote="Horsley-Anarak"]I will be there, is it a race? Is it salty? Do I bring old stuff or sea engines? Will there be a prize giving and a raffle?

Not a race as far as I understand it though I am sure there will be some 'spirited motoring'!
Yes, the Crouch is tidal.
Do you mean do you bring old stuff and sea engines?
Probably first one back lines up the beers!
I think it is great that Martin and Jan are joining us. What a fine example to set to you guys in Oz - any of you popping over for the weekend?
Ah well, my thinking is that whoevergets in first must have some heavily breathed on whizzo Gull. Also, if everyone waits for the final finisher we shall all be thirsty for a long while! Let's compromise - first one in and last one in both have to buy a round. As we say when we are racing, it is the race to the bar that really matters!
Pizey, your right.
It must be the brain damage caused by a combination of beer and 10:1 mixture. 15th March will be the arrival date if we booked a ticket Schiphol-Heathrow.
Jan
Don't talk to me about bloody volcano, should have flown out of Auckland on Sunday 18th, it's now Monday, still here, have been told possibly Tuesday if Thiefrow open, but got the impression they were just telling me what they thought I wanted to hear.
Perhaps if I stay a bit longer, I will go for citizenship!
Charles.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.
It's plenty wide enough. Deep draught vessels can use the river up to Baltic Wharf at all states of the tide. We race 30' International Dragons every Saturday and Sunday from March through to November and can get good courses in every time. It may not be wide by general Oz standards, but it does us just fine!
Could this be the largest seagull meating of the year so far.
I will be dusting off my boat and race engines this weekend ready for the 15th. ( Might rework the prop and fit the anti cav plate if I get time, carb now done.)
RBT have you found my dropped bit of Stainless Steel yet?
So who else is going to show up?
RBT and smelly dog, minus captain slow, plus HID, minus cat?
Chucky, now that his jet lag is wearing off will hopefully show us how fast a Seagull powered craft can go.
Jan will be there with Martin all the way from the low country ( is that nearer than Cornwall).P.S. Jan I will be bringing my van !
Peter 40tpi do you need the lend of a small boat? ( if you are coming )
Yes, planning on coming. Very kind offer Alun and I'll take a rain cheque on that if I may in case the trailer and "boat " rebuild in the drive fails......... !
Chucky will be most disappointed if I fail given the encouragement and advice he has invested so far!
