Welcome to the site, It sounds like a good deal. But, and yes always a but, they can suffer badly if put away wet, as they say.
Still its a nice find though, have a look through the site and please ask questions it you need to.

Well it had been sat since its last use sometime last year, I've got it running but it seems very loud.... Not sure yet if it's the work bench I have it on that's vibrating and making all the noise yet though!

Well done on getting it running and yes, out of water they make one hell of a noise but in water they quieten down a great deal.
It's not the size of your rod that counts, it's how deep you can waggle your maggot.
