Any Nevil Shute fans here at the SOS?

I just finished "Trustee From The Toolroom" for the second time and enjoyed it as much as the first.
"A Town Like Alice" is another great read, and was a pretty good movie, too.

I have been a big fan since the sixties, when I started reading his stuff.

I have worn, tatty, much read copies of pretty much everything of his that was ever published. There's a lot of interesting stuff about him on the web.

Before Nevil Shute I got interested in C S Forester, I have all his books too.

In the early seventies I briefly worked for a solicitor in Lewes who actually knew Nevil Shute Norway during the war.

I don't know why, but "Round the Bend" is probably my favourite.

I read 'On the Beach' when I was about eleven years old-it was all about a Nuclear war -and it made a lasting impression on me.It was made into a memorable film if I remember correctly.
