1926 Elto Ruddertiwn

Post by AusAnzani »

Here's a few pics of my most recent purchase, believed to be a 1926 Model G Elto Ruddertwin.

Engine and leg remain in a fixed position. Steering wheel (or similar) is used to move the rudder port or starboard as required. Quite interesting.

It has a few issues and needs quite a few parts to correct and complete, so it'll be a long term project.

Nice motor ! Looks in good condition . I find vintage OMC parts hard to find in the UK , are they any easier to source there ?

It is a nice slim gearbox. Nice find!

I managed to clean it up, un-lock the engine and remove the Johnson flywheel/magneto over the weekend. It's starting to look a bit more respectable!

Will start chasing parts the US. Some of the guys on the AOMCI Forums and Facebook group can be very helpful.

S

If you want to restore, you have little choice.
