Hi Keith
No. I haven't seen a real sharland before. I have only come across pictures. It's interesting why anzani made their SS in the same way as the sharland.
Any more pics?

Cheers

Anzani bought the rights & tooling from Outboards of Isleworth who had bought them from Sharland in 34, that could explain why they're so similar.

Sharland produced their Utility model from circa 31 to around late 34 I'm told by the experts.

I could never work out what it was cast into the old transom on the SS, what a wally.

No idea what so ever as for a serial numbers go, round tank old, blue tank with red cap, later, pressed steel cap, even more later.

I don't know too much about them, but it looks to be a 40's era one.
Mostly complete, just thumb screw pads and throttle lever missing, maybe the wrong fuel cap, its not the same cap that's on my one anyway.

There is an early Sharland race engine hiding somewhere in Australia. At one stage the guy that owned that (now deceased) also owned the Johnson PR-50 I have in my collection.

Would be nice to track it down.
