Flying Scott speedboat and Engine, late 1940s to early 1950s

Post by Dadrules1 »

Hello , this is my 1st post so please bare with me. I bought a boat last week to cruise up and down the river Medway in Maidstone but not knowing to much about boats I think I have stumbled across a bit of a rarity
After doing a lot of research it turns out to be a late 1940s Flying Scott engine and speedboat that is all color coded red and white , I was wondering if anybody had any more information on these boats and secondly if anybody would be interested in buying it. The only concern I do have is that the engine and the boat will stay together either to be restored or in a museum , the engine is running , I'm sure that is also American. Look forward to any responses . All the best . Colin.
