Re: TC 102 water cooling problem
Going to try a few things later today. So far I cannot find any reason for what appears to be exhaust fumes coming out of the water outlet.

TC 102 water cooling problem
Following on from my post ( headed RD102 by mistake ) I ran the engine again and found no water coming out at all. But did get exhaust fumes. Did as you said Nudge. Everything looks good inside, very clean, nicely oily , no evidence of cracks. Rings are in good odds barrel good. The cylinder joint g...

Re: Forty plus fuel ratio
Forgot to add to the last post..... Are there any references to the water flow rate coming out of a TC 102; say, at half revs? Or is it enough to feel the temperature of the water and judge the rate to be adequate?

Forty plus fuel ratio
Looking back through all the posts on fuel ratios, I've decided to run my forty plus on 10:1 with the needle set to top of slide barrel. Since I run a 102, it would make sense to have only one mix of fuel supply. On the engine identified page my forty is shown as exact date unknown (FP215R5) with th...

RD 102 head
The water flow from my TC 102 is sputtering with air, but it's set at the correct height in the water. If the waterways are blocked what is the best way of cleaning them without removing the block?
Thanks! red.

Century plus gearbox
Having a problem reassembling a century plus gearbox. I,m left with a gap of approx 1.5 mm where the outer casing gasket fits. Are the gaskets really this thick? Inside there is a washer, ( thrust washer?) that prevents the shell from closing up any more. I can't find a parts diagram to check. Can an...

headbolts on s.century
Hi, have 3 queries I need help on. I've replaced the head gasket on my s.century having done some work on it, but I've re-used the head bolts. Is this a mistake, should use new ones. If so, can I withdraw the old ones and replace with the new ones without disturbing the head gasket? Also, on a s. ce...

Re: Water impeller loose?
Thanks for your reply. unfortunately, when swapping a drive leg for a better one I broke the clamping lug where the drive tube goes into the top flange of the gearbox. (I'm fitting a plus clutched gearbox to my silver century. ) I've posted a wanted ad. I did as you said , and I think the impeller w...

silver century plus bottom end
Hi, I'm looking for a top flange for the siver century plus gearbox, as I've broken the lug where the bolt goes through that clamps the drive leg in to the top of the flange.

Re: Water impeller loose?
I'm doing a conversion with my s.century and a century plus bottom leg and gearbox. The earlier posts suggest that a drive shaft thats a bit rusty could have enlarged the impeller bore, making it a tad loose.

Re: Water impeller loose?
Just looked at some earlier posts about loose impellers, and I guess my answer is pretty much within them. Maybe I'll fit a new one.
