Re: horse power

If your boat is a displacement hull (which it is) then speed is a function of waterline length. A recommended engine hp may not produce more speed than a 20hp but will be producing hull speed at lower revs and thus better fuel consumption , less stressed. It doesn't work for seagulls as they like to...

Re: 102 flies again (before little problems)

No. At least not if you want to turn the outboard. The jubillee clip goes above that plastic clamp. The "seagull" fix is two of those plastic clamps back to back above that one.
Sadly you cannot do it on a silver century.

Re: Help Please - sick 102

cleaning your points might help. I am not a fan of running with a drill. If you do do it you must pop some oil down the plug hole.
I would replace ht lead anyway.

Re: Kingfisher on the Thames

No charge for fishing in the sea. No rules either -- just advice on lifejackets , flares , etc. Many places charge to use a ramp ; parking ; etc. and you need to be insured . Isle of Skye is free . Just found a boat like mine on youtube , but it's been messed about with. https://www.youtube.com/watc...

Send us a picture..... you must have gone up in the world from your original rubber dinghy. Please notice that I didn't say paddling pool.
I can recommend "RYA seamanship for anglers"
