nuts on seagulls are fairly big and getting the drill away before the engine takes over may not be possible. Seems a good was to lose a drill or bash a wrist.

I have the same engine (6hp 4stroke suzuki) and had a lack of water out of the telltale - proding with a very small allen key sorted the problem . now flows jet like - nice engine but nothing like the flow of a seagull - that's ideal for handwashing.

I have a 6hp Suzuki 4 stroke (new) . Seems to be getting good reports in the press (F & B small craft section) Very wet and windy - so haven't had it on the boat yet.
Starts well and is fairly quiet - lighter than most 6 hp's.

My Suzuki outboard handbook is similar to your chainsaw one except 44 pages are in English . The other 528 pages are in all the other languages you can think of. Making it a tome that you cannot take with you.
