Re: Frankenstein's Seagull

Fuel inlet port from the carburettor is behind the piston, the transfer port that lets fuel from the crank case to the cylinder head is above the piston. The piston is the right way up, you need a sealed crank case, so look for worn crank case bushes and piston compression, you have a spark, so must...

Re: Little Forty

A 1951 FVP, the LS looks more like a standard 40, than a little forty.

Re: Little Forty

From what I have seen, right or wrong, FV/P, were Little model forty's and even advertised as a baby Seagull. Fourteenth edition manual for a little forty, has some ones FV number on it and later you have manual with little forty and forty plus, so that don't tell us much. Also you have the Seagull ...

Re: Black thrust blocks

I could, but it's not drawn to any spec, as I don't have one, this was just done from the pictures I posted.
PM me if you need something drawn up, that's if I have the part to draw It to the right size.

Re: Black thrust blocks

What ever I design in 3D CAD, I can print on my 3D printer, not that I have printed anything lately. Like my FVP avatar, it's a 3D drawing, so I just separate the parts and print them, It's going to be about a 3ft tall model, it sounds easy, but that's not always the way, I should have started small...

It's a bit of a mixed bag of parts, but it's worth putting right, nice find.

Re: Black thrust blocks

The white block has a different latching setup.
The white thrust block can be easily printed as the drawing for that is already available on line, plus the impeller, I don't have a block, so I cannot draw one to make one.

Re: 102 ?

A later Marston heads will fit an SD, later on the 102 went to studs fitted to the head rather than studs fitted to the crank case.
Earlier head on a later Seagull, pretty much.

Re: 102 ?

If it has a finned head then, it has a Marston head fitted.
