Re: Finding Workshop Again

Might have to try a clean up myself, your first pic is tame, I can only get 3 steps into my garage/workshop,
after that its a health hazard.

Re: Pics of Villiers and the Silver Century

I thought the Villiers motor was seized but it turns out the drive shaft won't rotate, talk about big teeth in the gear box. will have to figure out how to release the drive pinion or make up a tool to match drive shaft so I can put pressure on it. Thanks again for the info Bruce, did you want a cop...

Pics of Villiers and the Silver Century

I forgot to mention by coincidence I also came across a Triton Outboard Motor operating and spare parts manual, which is what the Swordfish was renamed in the 60's If someone (Bruce) has a decent picture of the front of the Swordfish I would be very grateful, because the carb is missing and the till...

Swordfish, Aust Olympic, Villiers.

Had a good weekend, I picked up a Swordfish that turns over about 300 degrees, it just won't go the ful 360 because the s-plugs have been left out. I also managed to pick up a Silver Century with only a small dint in the fuel tank, but it has been resting for quiet some time. the next pick up was a ...

Chrysler 3.6

Had a good day at the Trash and Treasure, picked up a 1971 Chrysler 3.6 HP outboard. Its water cooled but has a water pump to cool the exhaust I guess... The gentleman that sold it to me did not tell me about the water pump, and when I got it home I spotted the impellor housing just above the cav pl...

Re: weekend pick up

Cleaned all the grunge out of gear box and also finally managed to clean out the tank with a product called CLR.
Which is Calcium Lime Rust. Used a piece of chain and diluted CLR plus a whole lot of shakin, and its clean.
Don't know if this product is avaiable in the UK.
