Now this got me to wondering ... I guess that the VAST VAST majority of 'Gulls never got/get very much 'water time' use at all hardly ever in winter...never at night...and just short sharp little runs, mostly weekends, tendering to & fro for a few minutes, then chuck them back into the dark ding...

well gentlemen ....and you other seagull owner types ... has anyone dipped into the merits or otherwise of vapour blasting to bring 'gull bits up all shiny and lovely ? or not worth the candle ? i have an older BMW motorbike and had some VB done ...WOW ..the results were stunning :shock: interested ...

i'd hate to misappropriate a classy top cover (and probably now valuable) to the wrong engine

the flak from the brotherhood would be worse than a '40's night flight over Berlin :roll: :roll:

when did British Sagull change the villiers magneto top covers from reading
" Best outboard motor IN the world " to Best outboard motor FOR the world ?

And was this on all models ?

I have 2 wartime SD's.... SD 3688 L3, Villiers JM 7408 mag, & SD 5987 L3 but no JM nos i can see
