Finally finished the swap!! The recaltricent timing locking screws yielded to a 12 volt impact wrench for removing car wheel nuts!

I now have a nice fat spark, fresh fuel but no start, not even a feeble cough. Do I need to reset the timing or something.

Ref these ********* screws!! I have used Plus gas, WD40, heat,

impact driver to no avail and the slots are begining to suffer. [ Brilliant designer to specify slot head screws!!]

Help!!!

Advice needed please. I am attempting to remove the Wipac flywheel assembly from an extinct,cracked block/seized piston, Silver century.

I want to replace the old and faulty Villiers system on my '64 Century plus.

Many thanks for the info Charles. Would the unit from the Silver Century be electronic ? [the E suffix in the engine number} The HT lead is totally different to my Century coming out of the bottom of the flywheel housing rather than the side as on the Century.

My Century with clutch CPC 247 L4 circa1964 suffered an immersion in salt water last year. I have had problems with"the spark" since then.

I've been given a srap Silver Century WSP CL 466EO and I'm wondering if the flywheel unit will fit my engine.

Fuel Mix

My Century with clutch has the number CPC 247L4. I run it on 10to1 mix but it makes a lot of smoke and tends to hunt at higher throttle settings.

I'm wondering if it would be safe to use less oil? An expert opinion will be greatly appreciated.

Century only runs with choke

My Century suffered a salt water submersion. after much cleaning and flushing the motor starts but will only run with the choke on. Water is pumping OK. Any help appreciated.
