Propeller for featherweight
Last year I bought my second British Seagull outboard through EBAY. (OK Twice burned shame on me!) It is a 1970 Model F "Featherweight". When received one of the four blades of the propeller was missing. Trying to deal with the damage I cut the oposite blade away and ground the stubs as close to the ...

Re: NAPA
A bit more on the Sta Lube 140 gear oil. NAPA dealers are forced to take a case from their D P warehouse. The gallon botles (#SL 24238) come four to the case so they would be stuck with three gallons if they sold one. The same 140 oil is available in quart bottles as Sta Lube #SL24228.. Same problem ...

Silver Century finish?
Hi All
Wonder about the finish on the engine block of the Silver Centurys. While the drive shaft tube on my 1975 WS is pitted with rust the engine finish remains like new. Any help on what the finish is?

Substitute gear oil?
Hi All

Amal main jet?
Call me frugal if you must. Would like to resize the main jet of the Amal two jet carb for my WS. Understand that the change for 25:1 fuel would be to downsize the opening from standard #45 to #40. To modify the #45 jet I'd solder the old hole & redrill for the new size. Have the microdrills ...

Adjusting ignition timing
Recently bought a 1973 WS that had no spark. A kind gentleman explained to me that the WILPAK II ignition rarely fails. In this case he was correct. Removing the flywheel, coil & points I cleaned things to improve connections to ground & that restored the spark. However when I tried to start the ...
