So having used chainsaws that I added a pre measured oil to, and being totally crap at maths, how much oil would I add to 4ltrs of petrol for the 10:1 mix for the seagull?
And any 2 stroke oil or something special

Gear oil and two stroke
Quick question, well 2,
Been advised to change gear oil after every trip
And
Of course need 2 stroke to add
Looking online, small bottles of each are around a tenner each
Can I buy both in larger quantities cheaper, and if so, any links

No,
But this is a kayak with one outrigger, most youtube clips with outboards show this type set up

Re: Forty Feather
Just had a dexter thought which I'll try out first, as I'm sure if I was to fall out, it'll be from opposite side to the seagull, as the seagull side will also have an outrigger,
So my cheap easier cut out, will be to drill the knob on end of throttle, and place a ring with lanyard attached to me ...

Re: Forty Feather
If you have any doubts about the reason why, next time your out in your Seagull boat sit down & let go of the tiller at full throttle!
.
I already have the lanyard kill switch, but must admit to being a bit of a dexter, the tiller will probably get removed as not needed, the engine will be fixed ...

Re: Forty Feather
The other option of course, would be to change the throttle control for a spring loaded trigger type, normally used on strimmer etc, so if I let go, as in if I fell off kayak , it would cut out the seagul as it was meant to, if that makes sense

Why do you want a kill-cord? Insurance?
As I have the mad idea of putting it on my trident kayak

Re: Forty Feather
Hope you don't mind me jumping in, I've got a forty featherweight with normal rope pull start, anyone know if you can fit a lanyard kill switch on these, it's the electronic ignition
