Saving Old Seagulls

When I got it ,it didn't run,the timing was miles out,sorted that,stripped and cleaned the carb and petrol tank,gave it a good clean as it had been covered in grease prior to being laid up and I've left it in its original unmolested condition.
It's a beautiful machine, I'd put it in our house but ...

Look at the general section about 19 down for pictures and yes it runs beautifully.

Right then,my 1942ish SD could be up for grabs,it's a beautiful machine but the fact is that I'm never going to use it and I'm mid restoration of a 1976 250 yamaha which is taking all my time and spare cash so something may go,if you look in the general section then it's about 19th down.Hugo ...

I understand, I've had a couple of 102s but this is lovely with all its bronze and copper and it runs beautifully, as quiet as a mouse,mechanically wise and to think that it may have been used in our war effort is pretty humbling,I look at it now and treat it with a good deal of respect and to think ...

It came with a few spares too,piston ring,copper fuel pipe,small key for removing the jets,propeller, plug caps and a big Hessian bag to put the motor in,sure I've missed some bits .lodge 3 pin plugs

Me too Tam, bought a complete non runner from Oban a few weeks ago because I love the cuteness of them,runs like a good un now.
