Thanks for that , I think any of the later cast leg models would do me power wise but I've yet to see a longshaft . Perhaps they only made them with the tubular leg ?

Hi , thanks for the photos and information I do have a longshaft mk1 similar to yours , I'm wondering if they did one with the cast leg as I could do with the extra hp , I think the mk3 was 3 hp

Would anyone have a mk2 or mk3 pilot longshaft for sale ? Or did they even make one ? Any help gratefully received , thanks

Its a Tomos rebadged for the uk

All the ones I've had / seen had been silver originally . I used high temp paint so just had to use the shade of silver that was available

The dinghy in your photo has a central stern post on the inside of the transom so many outboards won't fit without cutting some away . I also think it suits some people as an offset motor gives more space in the stern . Many many Seagulls were used on Orkney lochs at one time , not so much now ...
