OK that's helpful I was wondering why the supposedly more powerful 40+ had such a larger gearbox and reduced drive ratio. I would have thought the more powerful engine would have just had a bigger prop. If the engines are about the same power then clearly the reduced drive ratio is required to drive ...

HI Just bought a couple of old Seagulls and need the following bits -

For a 1975 40- with Villiers carb - Throttle lever and cable, prop spring, cork washer for fuel tap
