Hello Mr. novice here again. Flywheel removed exactly as per FAQ.
Multi meter setting all at 2000.
Before removing the points from the circuit I took the following readings:
a. Probes of Multi Meter held together = 001/002 flashing between figures.
b. Points to backplate (closed) = 002.
c. Points ...

Remove points from circuit.
Try again the coil.
Wipac coil enclosure contains condenser.
Check again over points. If points open then a should be a zero. If not then point assembly needs checking when pulled apart. Note insulating do dads along the way.

Hi, I am not getting a spark. Wipac MK2 on a Forty Plus FP 1228 code, rest of code indecipherable. Plug and Points set at 20thou. Brand new plug lead and cap. Magnets seem strong. Getting correct resistance readings for the coils. HT and LT. Am I getting a short somehow from the points to the ...
