One may buy coils,Villiers and Wipac from villiersparts.co.uk These are new coils. They also offer an ignition (stator) plate exchange for about £75. You will get new plate,coil,points and condenser. They also do re-con or exchange Villers carbs.

How can you use a Seagull in such a pristine environment ?! They are great motors,but pollute like there is no tomorrow!!

If the engine has not been used for some time,remove spark plug,find a socket that will fit the dome nut and spin the motor with an electric drill at medium speed for 2 or 3 minutes and this will re-magnetise the flywheel magnets.
