What is this Clutch lever
I bought an SD with an early batch number 687 P3
The engine came with some great parts, but the clutch lever which I wanted to replace my broken one is quite different.
Is this a marston lever ? or has it come from some where else ?

Re: No spark from SD 102 Ign...
Got a spark!
Gave the arm a tap with a mallet, not the purest way of doing things, but it will do for now.
Will look out for the right points in time.

Re: No spark from SD 102 Ign...
It is the original coolie hat flywheel, brass top.
George @ VP has seen this before and suggests bending the rocker arm back.
These mark 1 points are compatible with this early villiers Ign
There is something wrong some where !

Re: No spark from SD 102 Ign...
George at Villiers parts suggested moving the clamp screw for the points to the second fixing point, but no good.

No spark from SD 102 Ign...
I recently purchased an old SD 102 which had no spark as expected!
I took the flywheel off, and the points + box had been removed, also the coil was dead.
I had a spare Villiers mark 1 points & condenser box which I sent of to Villiers parts along with the baseplate and dead coil.

Re: Parts wanted for SD seagull
I don't mind people making money out of parts, thats the way the world works, maybe there is a space for a swaps page on this forum, put down what you have and don't need, and swap it !
My 14 year old son loves the seagull engines, and has been messing around with them since he was 10. We are doing ...

SD. 7921.L3 service stamp on side of exhaust.
Hello all
On the side of the exhaust is a service stamp , which is dated 3/56, I think!
can't quite make out the top three letters:
could be HMH, EMH,or EME
What do we think ?
anyone seen this before ?

Re: Parts wanted for SD seagull
I guess this 3 blade prop was not standard on the SD, could it have been an optional extra, or is it just a later add on?

wartime 102 SD.7921.L3
Does anyone know what SD stands for and L3 in the serial number ?
I know its dated between 1942-46 and the long number is the amount produced.
Does the L stand for longshaft ? and what does the 3 mean ?
Thanks
Martyn
