Saving Old Seagulls

Hi all i know it sounds daft but whats the best way to measure two stroke oil to a gallon of fuel ,, ie how much to a gallon for 25 /1 mixture , im sure i got it wrong last time as more smoke than a bonfire night ,and had to keep adding fuel to the mix god knows what the mixture was in the end

Hi all just to let you all know it was the slider in the carb that was seized , left it to soak in wd 40 for a couple of hours and it freed itself ok cable is fine. I just cant understand why it seized in the carb , but there we go , have had it running in a wheely bin in the garden and all fine ...

Hi Again re the jambed cable or slider ,< the carberetta , is an amal on a 110 seagull so quite a modern one as far as they go , , have tried to soak in wd40 to no avail although not made a well at top to soak down the
cable outer , but have taken the rubber grommit of the carb end of the cable ...

Hi all can any body tell me , how to undo the cable from the carb so as to attempt to free the cable and soak in wd40
