Saving Old Seagulls

Somewhere deep in my memory I recall a special mounting bracket (probably 3rd party) that allowed Seagulls to rotate through 360 degrees - allowing reversing.

Is my memory playing tricks or does anyone know anything about them?

I had a similar problem with my century. That was because one of the jets was blocked. As far as I know, you should only have one jet but, given the age of the engine, it might be a bitsa. Sounds like carb to me but I'm sure better minds will point you in the right direction.

1971 century. Laid up for twenty plus years. Cleaned points - cleared blocked jet and it fired up on fresh fuel without any real problems.

Nothing wrong with whitworth apart from availability. It is a strange thing about central London that it is easy to buy all manner of fashion items but very difficult to find mechanical things. I'm sure that there are hundreds of suppliers ...

Does anybody know the approximate price of replacement thumbscews and, because I'm a bit of a klutz in these matters, how to replace them - there is something bigger than the threaded hole at both ends!!
