If you want a real shiny finish you will have to buff after pickling.

Re: Civillity on the site Forum

I must have slept through the excitement....what happened? :P Yeah, I hadn't checked for a week and look what happens. Heard via email, came to check and it's all gone, so much for freedom of speech, bugger. Unfortunately it seems to happen on every forum with the end result of people storming off ...

Re: Villers Carby V508C

Yes mower carb, I use both and all parts are the same. The seagull version usually has a hole in the side of the float chamber to help avoid any flooding issues and also allowing fuel to drain out when the motor is laid down. Re: I'm new here

The petrol slowly removes the plasticiser from the material over time making it hard and discoloured much like what we see n...

Re: seagull pull cord

I think around 6mm or 1/4 inch. Distance between knot and knob 600mm or 24", enough for three turns around the pulley. If the rope is too long or too fat it can lead to trouble by catching in the pulley or not coming free in time causing you to whip you or your family. I use that nice s...

Re: Century model 100 Cyl head torque.

"they" used to say do it up until it strips and then back off a quarter of a turn.... :o

I'm not suggesting you do though. :D
At least the water indicates there is water with pressure in there. It usually leaks out and not in, I wouldn't worry too much.
