Re: Gas tank and carb cleaning
Here in Oz I use a product called CLR. It is calcium, lime and rust remover. A commercial product that does a fair sort of a job. At least a good shake for a time with some 3/4" blue metal gravel to loosen any scale deposits can be a good start too. Big bits of gravel are easier to then get out...

Hi hugs,
I'm sorry but I'm not qualified to answer your question about the build or maybe the style of build of the boat. Maybe Buzzook can answer your question and pull me out of the deep stuff.

Seagull Nationals 2017 NSW Australia
Hi Guys, We attended the Nationals at Port Macquarie NSW last Saturday. The event was held over 3 days but we could only be there on the Saturday. About half of the boats did not turn up as the weather leading up to the event was less than ordinary with heavy rain and thunderstorms but on Saturday a...

Re: Differences between Century and Plus models
I think you might find that it is a combination between prop, gear ratio and carby, not just one thing.

Re: RIBBED VILLIER'S FLOAT BOWL
I have seen that style of float bowl used on Villiers stationary engines and quite possibly ones made here in Oz. Also I have seen them on early Atco mowers but are alloy and not plastic.

Re: Anyone needing an unusual G clamp..?
LOL, it was exactly the same way I bought a very rare and hard to get scuttle plate for one of our David Brown Cropmaster tractor. One in bad condition still fetches $200.00 but I bought this perfect example that bolted straight on with no rust or bends in it and got it for just $10.00. It was descr...

Re: Amal 2 jet key/spanner
Without seeing a picture of this jet key I can only guess that what I have had in my tool box for over 40 years is a jet key/spanner to remove the main jets from Stromberg Carbies. This goes back to the street racing days and bunging twin and triple carbies onto Holden engines to burn rubber at a ve...

Re: My poor Head!
For my 2 cents worth I would clean up the fins by using a file and a bit of patience. Obviously welding can be done but the fillet can be a bit wider than the fin so will be noticeable unless you know someone who really knows what to do, how to do it and have the full understanding of what a quality...

Re: My poor Head!
I think the damaged was done because not of a socket but rather to get a ring spanner or open ended spanner onto the nuts.

Brilliant story and results so far. Looking forward to hearing sore as it all unfolds. Imagine what could be done with an advance and retard set up like on the bigger outboards, an adjustable stator plate!

Re: New replacement cranks from Bermuda
For my 2 cents worth I think that you are filling the void in the market for all who play with Gulls! Well done mate. I have seen a few races on YouTube from Bermuda and you are right, it is all about fun. All that was missing is some Jimmy Buffet music playing in the back ground. Maybe "A Pira...
