Re: Evinrude 6hp 1981 (Belgian)
Thanks HA and Kieth for those links.
Turns out i hav a 1972 model 6202D or 6203D. Both coils have been replaced by previous owner and are working fine, as with the HT leads both have nasty kinks in them and the carbon one is the worst. so i will replace both leads with copper.
Geoff.

Re: Evinrude 6hp 1981 (Belgian)
May i ask a question as i have a 6hp fisherman model, not sure of its age as the ID plate is missing.
My question is, ive no spark on one of the plugs. Are the HT leads supposed to be carbon or solid copper cores as i have one of each on the engine??

Re: SD Throttle lever wanted
Sorry about that being off subject, i was looking at the throttle lever, a straight one. My Sd is the bent up on the end type and that's a 45/6 vintage and i thought the straight ones were from earlier units.

Here's one i did earlier.
Took about 2 mins to do, brushed on the cleaner left 1min with a bit of agitaion with a baint brush, then a few quick rubs with a green scouring pad and wash off.
Sorry for the shadows this was due to the SUN shine, i know you boys up north see so little of it you might ...

Re: SDP restoration
Hi all.
Have a look at this stuff, i dont know if its avalible in the UK. Ive used it with a green scouring pad and as long as you take note of the precautions, as you are dealing with mild acid solutions, it works a treat.
When rinsed clean and dry ,the ali is easy to polish up or leave in a matt ...
