Re: Brass Tanks
Well, my Forty Plus is a Mark 2 of 1977 vintage. The tank is badly dented / I am looking for a better starting point to fill and paint.
I have seen a few that look suitable (same dimensions with Seagull embossed into the end panels) but cant be sure they will fit, especally where they are described ...

Re: Which Seagull do I want?
I had exactly the same requirement as you. We have been using a 2.9m hardtail with inflatable keel from the jetty to our yacht and have a 2.4m softtail as a tender in the cockpit locker. Our everyday outboard is a Honda 2.3hp four stroke. Even though the Seagull is for entertainment, I wanted one ...

Here you go .... Not sure if it shows the material very well. It has a slightly satin 'turned' finish and no rust !

I'm liking your exhaust tube ... what diameter / what seller?

Re: EFPC Recoil pulley seized
I dug out my biggest flathead screwdriver .... Fortunately, its a lovely wide slot in the screw!
A huge effort and it finally unscrewed with the pulley as described above
A few taps and the pulley separated. Thank You

EFPC Recoil pulley seized
.... both the pulley and the retaining screw :-(
To an extent it doesn't matter, but I want it to be right.
I have been soaking it in penertrating oil for weeks in the hope that either the pulley wheel frees up or the retaining screw will undo
Has anyone overcome this problem? The thought of ...

Re: Hi from a novice Seagull owner..
I saw one entered in the Dartmonth raft race years ago 1992 - just a sealed shell. They had a much lower number than us and so started earlier. They did really well until they got to the wier. It had all but sunk when we passed it.
