Points gap
Hi again
I have just yesterday purchased a SJP50504
Wouldn’t start fuel flowing no problem
Faint spark Wipac points but stuck together
Freed them up looking for the correct gap setting
It was going in the skip not bad condition at all
Apart from above has a champion D16plug in it

Re: ESC
Yes it is the Amal 416
Looks like I have found the problem
The two little arms that come down to hold the brass pin for the float
One has been snapped sometime or other
There has been a small hole drilled up one of the arms
With a small piece of copper wire put through it

Carb has had a good clean up all back together as should be
Push the tickler to get the fuel going
Problem is that the fuel won’t stop flowing from the tickler
It is also dripping from the choke housing
Stripped it down again the float is moving freely
All back together same thing
The fuel ...

Thumb screws.
Bought a thumbscrew lock for my 5hp seagull found out with the thumb screw being a flat bar.
The sliding bar lock is virtually useless is there any way to modify the flat t bar.
So the thumb screw lock can be used.
Thanks in advance.
