long and thin could be interesting along open water stretch with the sea beam on---- tip from the dutchmen----a crate of beer ballasting the bows always keeps the safety boat in close attendance --------regards blue-----ps did you win lerryn this year??

went to sark from greve de lecq with a 12 and a 1/2 foot boat and a 102---about 15 miles in about 3 1/2 hours on the first big spring tide in september---went for ormers----unfortunately told firmly sarks ormer season starts 1st of october----so went on the p-ss by tractor with the sark postman-----...

one of the main problems of using a seagull on a bumpy sea was a dollop of spray up the air intake-----easily solved on a 2 jet by cracking the fuel line bolt open and dropping fuel/water mix---very quick ---loooks more awkard on a 400-----regards blue

in the sixties i was fishing daily with a 102 and using ordinary engine oil-----i spoke to SOS john about it and he says that was the reason i was forever wire brushing the plug ----regards blue

time past i fished the paternosters out of greve de lecq for years with a 102----it pushed my heavy 12 foot dinghy up to maximum displacement speed---after it was stolen i got the first modern engine in greve de lecq----a 6 hp evinrude fisherman twin-----didn t make the boat go any quicker----i woul...

i ran a 102 in the mid sixties for 40 hours a week ---8-9 months a year for 3 years----i reckon i did around 5000+ miles until the engine was stolen-----maintenance schedule----start of season---new gear box oil-new plug -new points---then-----almost daily wire brush whisker off plug---every 2-3 day...
