Saving Old Seagulls

Folks,
I obtained an old seagull thrown in with a sailboat I bought some days back. I've no idea whether it is in running order or not, but suspect it's been laid up for a while.
Everything turns, though I loathed to throw some fuel in it & try to fire it up in case I should damage something.
