Re: Kingfisher for sale
Right, figured that out, now have reset my YouTube password at last. If anyone is interested a short vid of the Kingfisher that is for sale is now uploading. Try entering - http://www.youtube.com/user/mplr#p/a/u/0/Hf4uUbNcUeg If that does not work, and it should, I have just tried it, try searching ...

Kingfisher for sale
Sorry chaps, I know this is not the for sale section but I guessed more people might see this.
Following the theft of my 40+ and my little 40-, along with all my sailing gear, and oars, and compass, and..., don't get me started again.
Anyway, I have decided I will have to sell my Kingfisher ...

Two seagulls stolen
Hi chaps, sorry to have to post this, but my house was broken into today and my two seagulls, a late model 40+ with a broken throttle cable TSEFPCL43F2 (silver, plastic tank, recoil start, FN gearbox etc) and an earlier 40- (recently purchased from John SOS), as well as a pair of aluminum shaft ores ...

Re: Improve low-speed water cooling
Brilliant idea. Well done, a really good example of problem solving. I will try the idea on my Kingfisher, I have been wondering about idling/cooling while picking up moorings. Thanks for the idea mate.

Re: Kingfisher fuel problem
Well, that was fun! Finally sorted the non pumping problem with the fuel supply. As John stated, there was no drilling in the crankcase, so clearly this engine did manage to miss the recall back in '91. So, after a long chat with Charles UK I took the bull by the metaphorical horns (or the ...

Re: Erractic firing, info needed
Just a thought, a bigger gap might give a more visible spark but not necessarily a better one. Under compression in the cylinder a lot more oomph is needed for the spark to jump the gap, higher resistance etc. I strongly suggest a correct gap, those old boys at Seagull knew what they were about ...

Kingfisher update
Well. After a long chat with Charlesuk (thanks again mate), I have tried the following...
Checked all fuel lines for air leaks
Replaced diaphragm and gasket
Changed fuel line snap connector
Generally wiped the Kingfishers nose etc.
Primed fine, fired up first pull and run... for ...

Re: Advice on which engine to look out for.
Hi mate,
I used a 40+ standard shaft on my Wayfarer and it worked a treat. I also had an alloy engine mounting thingy that came with the boat, rather useful as you could just lift the motor on and off as required. I think I saw something about this in the Wayfarer owners magazine or website.

Kingfisher fuel problem
Right chaps, see if you can sort this mess out. I have just become the proud owner of a rather nice metallic silver Kingfisher, built early 1991. Yes I know all about the horrible roller big-end bearings but was assured by the seller that he has always run it on 25:1 and the engine sounds tight and ...
