The RYA Cruising News was produced by Kathryn Burnett and Sophie Strefford on behalf of the Cruising Committee of the RYA (Motor & Sail) to disseminate information to recreational sailors (power and sail), sadly in 2002 it was discontinued. I served on this committee for over 6 years. It was difficult to get the RYA to acknowledge small boat cruisers even existed, let alone they should have a voice, over the years I was on the committee I thought we were getting somewhere, sadly after many years off it, I feel a lot of effort was wasted. As the RYA seem to have gone away from cruising again, back to big boats and racing, there is no longer a link to them. Instead there is here a link to the Cruising Association. They at least seem to understand us.
