The Saving Old Seagulls Privacy Statement

This Privacy Statement explains how SOS collects, uses, and discloses your information.  The Privacy Statement applies to all services and products, except those products that have a separate Privacy Statement.

What Personal Information I Collect

Depending on whether you are a member of the Forum or not, I do not  collect personal information from or about you, save to send you parts!

• Information you provide:  I collect the personal information you provide—such as your name, username, or email address—when you buy parts,  or participate in Forum discussions or otherwise interact with me.
• Information about payments:  If you make a purchase, via my PayPal invoice, I do not collect personal card information in connection with the purchase.  
• Information about use of our services and products: When you visit my website, I do not collect information about the type of device you use, your device’s unique identifier, the IP address of your device, your operating system, the type of Internet browser that you use, usage information, diagnostic information, browsing information, session summary information, file attributes (including attributes for photos, videos, music, and documents), and location information from or about the computers, phones, or other devices on which you install or access our products or services.  

How I use your personal information

Generally speaking, I use personal information to provide spares, improve, and develop my website and records and to communicate with you.

SOS collects, processes, and determines how to process your personal information  for the following purposes:

• Providing and improving the giving of advice and helping my customers with their Seagulls: :  I use personal information to help  provide, improve, and develop my  website and historical records.   Such processing is based on  my legitimate interest in offering you an informative website.
• Communicating with you: I will not use personal information to send you 3^rd party marketing information.  Also   I will not share your personal information with third-parties and never have!

For any of the uses of your data described above that require your prior express consent, note that you may withdraw name from my mail list by Contacting me.

• Promoting safety and security:  I use personal information to help verify accounts and user activity, as well as to promote safety and security, such as by monitoring fraud and investigating suspicious or potentially illegal activity or violations of our terms or policies.  Such processing is based on my legitimate interest in helping ensure the safety of my website and records.

I do not  use cookies and similar technologies.

I do not share personal information, without your prior express consent.

I take reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.  However I do not save your addresses or details other than those in mails sent to me. Depending on where you live, you may have the rights described below.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information that I collect.  You are also entitled to object to or restrict, at any time, the further processing of your personal information.  You have the right to receive your personal information in a structured and standard format.  You may lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority regarding the processing of your personal information.

To protect the privacy and the security of your personal information, I may request information from you to enable us to confirm your identity and right to access such information, as well as to search for and provide you with the personal information I maintain.  There are instances where applicable laws or regulatory requirements allow or require me to refuse to provide or delete some or all of the personal information that I maintain.

Please contact me to remove your details in relation to the following uses of your personal information:

If you remove your details, I have no obligation to retain your information, and I may delete any or all of your information without liability.  I may retain, however, information related to you if I believe it may be necessary to prevent fraud or future abuse, if required by law, or for legitimate purposes, such as  historical information,  or auditing my records or accounts.

My  website, may contain links to or the ability for you to access third-party websites, products, and services.  I am not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those third parties, nor am I  responsible for the information or content their products and services contain.  This Privacy Statement applies solely to information collected by me.  I encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third parties before proceeding to use their websites, products, or services.

Information Security, Integrity, and Retention

It is important that you take precautions to protect against unauthorized access to your SOS account credentials, and computers or other devices.  If you feel that the security of your  personal information has been compromised, please immediately contact me.  Please be aware that, despite my efforts, no security system is impenetrable.  In the event of a security breach, I will promptly notify you and the proper authorities, if required by law.

I will retain your personal information for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Statement, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

I will not share your personal information with companies, or service providers.

I may periodically change this Privacy Statement to keep pace with new technologies, industry practices, and regulatory requirements, among other reasons.  I expect most such changes to be minor.  Any non-material changes will take effect immediately upon posting of an updated Privacy Statement.  There may, however, be cases where changes to the Privacy Statement may be more significant.  In such cases, I will provide you either a prominent notice of such changes on my SOS web pages,  before they take effect or by directly sending you a notification.
