Brochures

Post by charlesp »

The other Charles and myself have, as you know, been compiling our register of all the surviving pre-war motors, and we're now at the stage of waiting for the last few contacts to come back to us.

In parallel with that exercise we've been assembling all the brochures that we can lay our hands on and we're fairly certain we know what the catalogue names were for all those motors. Just like in later years when it was a Forty Plus if it had SJP or FP or GFP stamped on it, there are a few like that from the early days.

Now we're looking to expand the exercise, and we'd like to havre a go at the 1940 to 1970 era, and neither of us seem to have factory brochures. We have a wealth of adverts, hundreds of them, but surely British Seagull must have had a annually printed brochure outlining all the models?

If anyone has any of these - especially late forties/early fifties stuff advertising the Little Model Forty and Super Forty Plus then we'd be very grateful if you'd allow us to scan them for posterity.

PM either of us. Thank you!
