hey all
Is there a way to adjust the mounting depth of a 102?
Im not even sure what the correct mounting depth should be but im guessing this is too low when sitting near the aft. With two up the dinghy is more level on the water which raises the motor a bit but it still seems too deep. also when no one is aboard and the motor lifted the gearbox is still partially submerged.

This is about the ideal, depth. For a standard engine.

Re: Transom mounting height
Thanks for the pic, i figured out some kind of collar would be needed, ive used a piece of PVC pipe cut open along the length and slipped over the drive shaft, its not a permanent solution but will allow me to make adjustments on the water till i find the right height.
then i suppose ill need to make one up out of stainless?

So is there a recommended depth for the motor? like a measurement from water line to some or other bit of the motor?
