Looking for a bit of advice on removing the drive spring carrier on a 170 (I believe same gearbox as EFNR).
I’ve tried gentle prying/tapping but I don’t want to bend/damage the prop shaft, as I’m only able to pry from one side at a time. Gave it decent amount of heat.
Pulling it off with brute force will put strain on the rest of the pins e.g. clutch dog on opposite end, but from what I can tell the drive spring carrier has to come off first.
Any thoughts welcome, thanks!

Re: Drive spring carrier removal
Different from the efnr it has a roll pin going through the spring carrier a good set of mole grips on the inside shaft and try rotating with a long screwdriver wedged between the two lugs of the carrier (with heat) and don't let the molies slip
Roll me up and smoke me when I die
