Forty water circulation

I have 2 forty pluses, a forty featherweight and like all of this model ,I believe ,water circulation at low revs is either poor or non existent.
I have added a syphon to each of them and am happy with the improvement at low revs.
Now I have this efpc/55 and in the test barrel , with the clutch disengaged it throws through a very generous heap of water, even at low revs near stalling.
Absolutely amazing water flow like none of my other 7 gulls including the silver centuries .
Is this normal or am I just lucky ?
