Fuel pipe manufacture

If you wish to make your own fuel pipes this is what you need:

For a SD or early post war engine with eith a copper or nickel plated 1/4 tube you need 2 different end nipples and 2 different nuts, plus some 1/4 copper pipe which is widely available. After that you need a pipe bending tool of some sort. Small hand ones are available widely.

Amal float bowl 1/4 BSP,
fuel tap 7/16 x 19. This is often called a gas thread.

Can you not just use the fitting off the 102 plastic pipe and just add in the copper pipe?

Not if you want to do it correctly.

The plastic pipe fitting is exactly that, a plastic pipe fitting, not sure if a copper pipe will go over the end, but how do you solder it properly?

The copper pipes originally were made with soldered on ferrules, so to me that's the way to make a replacement, the result is a pipe that is pretty much identical to the original.

The fittings are not the problem in making a new fuel line and yes, the plastic pipe fittings are all brass.
Like H-A's picture of a new old stock fuel pipe, which is helpful, the actual shape of the copper pipe without a sample at hand is pretty much impossible.

Yes different size threads at each end if the pipe.

Contains 2 new fuel pipes exactly as Oyster describes them with different sized nuts & ferrules, though an identical shape & components, look different with different radius bends, 1 weights 69 grams the other 59 grams, when I bought the box it contained 4 pipes.
