I'm not sure I be bold enough to take an open sea trip of that duration, in a rubber duck with only a LLS & an LS, it wouldn't take much wind or tide to make, 4.5 knots 3 knots.

I think I'd need a 25 foot Bermudian plywood race boat with a Kingfisher or 2 before I felt confident!

If all goes well with this years test run perhaps you should organise next years Bruny Classic, just bring 5 sheets of 6mm ply & 5 litres of epoxy & your own Seagull, sleep under the trees, build a boat & off you go.
Sort of a Le Mans start, but instead of the sound of revving motors, the sound of pencils & hand saws.

All back safely, its 0200 here so will post full up date tomorrow with picks: pretty stunning day. The LLS ran for 14 hours non stop! more later.

The start of the great southern seagull adventure, perhaps.

Allegra reporting after a very long 15.5 hours for Adrian and support crew. Managed to get to bed by 02.30. Spent many hours on the wheel of 'Polaris', our mate's boat, a boat I had never been aboard! Pics from iPhone, Rod Hartvigsen to provide much better images later today of this epic voyage of more than just Adrian and his wee vessel and engines.
Not certain how to upload multiples, (tutorial please) so one after another it must be.

Rounded Cape Bruny, slower speed due to swells of 2M in the Tasman Sea, Adrian disappeared regularly from our view when in the trough!

Things are shaping up for the day, a bit of sun makes light of hard work. The swivel seat of our mate, Bob's speed boat, worked well for most of the journey.
