I think it's an Evinrude model 8008 50hp Storm Boat Motor from WWII.
Much too heavy for me.

I have a storm boat motor,post war they were known as Big Four. VERY HEAVY!! They sound fantastic when running though Sadly most end up as "shed ornaments" and are approached with curiosity by the uninitiated
Remember,dust and dirt are the enemies of all moving parts...keep your motor clean and it will repay you!

A big four complete with racing lower end is in 1 hours drive from me.
