ignition lead for a sjp

Post by gadget »

Hi all, have just got a new addition to my flock a fortey plus sno SJP. it has a villiers ingnition base plate but has anyone got a photo or diagram to show me the HT lead as this is missing (just a hole and a wire clip on the underside of the base plate). will be testing the coil in the very near future to se if it is ok , i presume it is tested in the same way as the wipack ingition. if all ok then i will have to see if john can source one for me. thanks for the help . gadget

HT LEAD

Post by John@sos »

Hello there Gadget

Yes testing is the same, from the HT outlet to earth, looking for between 3 and 5 k Ohms resistance.

the HT lead and cap, (a waterproof rubber one since about 1979!)

Available here new £11.75 plus £1.50 P&P Either mail or call me,

most parts for these motors are available new here, and are in stock.

Regards,
John

Back?

Post by John@sos »

Thanks for asking, the back is holding up well, still have to be careful and am not trying to push it but it does look good!

I really have to get back to my workshop and start clearing the backlog of motors I put there to restore! That will keep me busy, as if I need to be busier, and test the back!

cheers,

john
