Might have to do a bit of strengthening to take a forty and also need to have an extended tiller.

That's a Tern on the back not a Seagull!
Hugo please remember this is a Seagull site!

Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.
Re: Folding boat (large download)
Gee... I only bought it as I thought it was a seagull. Do Terns and Seagulls cohabitate?
Where's the Tern site?
Where's the Tern site?
Re: Folding boat (large download)
Apart from the fact I bought it from an old chap who purchased it in the sixties I would say the other way around. Treated canvas.
Re: Folding boat (large download)
That is a real find, Hugz. It's got a whole lot more class than a Folbote. It's a great candidate for an electric trolling motor, since wear from vibration might be more of a problem than a bit of thrust. Will you leave the paint scheme as is? Does it have some sort of significance?

Psychedelic sixties paint scheme! Matches the inside of my sixties van! Charles graciously shared his wisdom with me in adding a longitude thwart attached to the transom and the two existing thwarts. Will give me a more forward seating position as well as strengthening the back. I find the forties vibrate less.
