HI all, I've picked up a 102 with no spark, have tried the drill trick but no go yet. However I'm wondering about the 2 levers that run on the flywheel cam - the one that opens the points looks ok, but the other has something missing off the end of it (bare metal arm now)...
I can't tell what it even does but I'm thinking it may be shorting out, without some fitting at the end of it(?)

Update:
Local collector John Crichton has suggested this arm is not an issue (only a felt lube) but I should replace condenser, in fact add a new 3rd-party one onto backplate and bypass existing one. Am keen to try this....

It might pay you to replace the wire connecting the points to the coil, some insulation on it might be useful.

Thanks Charles, does that wire go from coil to condenser then on to the points?
It doesn’t go directly from the coil to the points does it?
If I understood John correctly he said to cut that wire at the points, fit a new condenser to the backplate, then run the wire to the coil. Sound right?
He said I could use a condenser “from an Iron Horse” or similar - should I try a mower shop?
The Seagull race was not well promoted I’d say, also a bad idea IMHO to have it during Easter weekend when the highways are jammed up with holiday traffic…
John said he did scrutineering there this year.
