Hi John,
I will get some better pics over the weekend and post them up.
The PVC was /is 2 bits glued together then the top layer had a thread cut in it with a round nose cutter then I covered it in primer and another layer of glue.

Maybe this is more complicated than you were thinking of - someone is good at welding stainless - and I know its bigger than you need but the idea could be adapted. The result can be be adjusted to any height and it was made with a Seagull in mind.

The mount would work it looks like a mount for a back up motor, thanks for posting.fleetingcontact wrote:Maybe this is more complicated than you were thinking of - someone is good at welding stainless - and I know its bigger than you need but the idea could be adapted. I run mine on a small 12v lead acid battery as it was too fast on 24v.
The white round things are turned nylon. If you don't have a lathe then find someone with a 3d printer to make some for you.
Not sure what else to tell you about it.... it is so simple
The steering pulley / drive is made up of a few bits of PVC all glued up. Don't make the drum any bigger than 60mm in dia or you will find the tinest twitch and you will be at hard lock! (ask me I know )
If you need to know any thing else about it, ask and I shell try and answer
