On AU Ebay 2Day
A chicken is one egg's way of becoming others
Re: On AU Ebay 2Day
Has a skeletal bracket with the V strut. A favourite with SD owners.
Re: On AU Ebay 2Day
That is a lot of money for an engine that is seized and has a cracked block!
"THE KING OF BLING"!
Is it better to over think, than not think at all?

Re: On AU Ebay 2Day
Yes, as it is a rare model worth buying cheaply and restoring though?
Re: On AU Ebay 2Day
I always think the D and C is under appreciated. Bayonet brass tank. Early ones may have had JM magneto and the skeletal bracket. 1946/7.
Re: On AU Ebay 2Day
I see there is an early AHC on the bay also.
Re: On AU Ebay 2Day
I've been watching that one for months, it was advertised elsewhere.
Bitch of a place to get to otherwise i would have been in it for the bracket and a few other bits and pieces. It's currently sitting at half of what he wants $.

Serial D1855
Ok so after a quick chat with Hugz (thanks again), the owner and another friend I went ahead and bought it predominantly for the skeletal bracket.
To say it not in good shape is a huge understatement. Will assess further when it arrives in Melbourne and decide what to do with it. Restore or salvage parts.
Owner is delivering it to a friend in Adelaide who will then deliver it to me in Melbourne. Freight costs eliminated. If it wasn't for that it would not have been viable.

Well done, I made an offer but little late and below asking price. Funny how motors move around this Seagull is heading east and I have two 102's heading back here from NSW's, fresh water Murray area.

Thanks John, I've watching this for months. It was advertised on Gumtree previously with an asking price of $180 and only recently advertised on eBay for much less.croweater wrote:Well done, I made an offer but little late and below asking price. As said above, I bought it for the skeletal bracket which I'll fit to my SD. The rest I would like to restore of possible, however if too far gone I'm sure the parts will come in handy. It's early post war so the former is preferred.
I bet the 2 you have headed your way are in much better condition
