I have come across a very nice Seagull 160 inboard.
It is mounted on a display stand with what looks like a near new stainless exhaust system and the later cast Alloy air intake and carb container.
It was hitched to a tank and water supply to be run.
I have not run it as it has the same big end problem as the 170 outboard. However to a collector this is an extreemly rare example of somthing Seagull made and ditched after just a very short run.
They were useless in salt water and corroded away in weeks, on fresh they were better but the problem was protecting the protruding FNR gearbox.
Sell for £225.

Re: Seagull Inboard for SALE
I've seen & worked on a few of these John & still own one of each, they're not as bad as your description implies.
I rather like them, probably almost the quietest Seagull, nearly as good as a Curlew, though not as economical.
Somewhere I still have a new "Hull Plate" that I won't sell, but would supply all the dimensions should one be required.

Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Sold very quickly, thought it would, a very different Seagull! On its way to Scotland shortly.
