ingenious use of space as well.
(very cramped in my 10x8 shed)
i need to get some of mine to "roost" in the attic out of the way.

I even found them congregating in the shed, nice and quite in there!

Oh, is that a picture of my future, if I'm not cured?
Now that's a collection.
It must be because your on an island, Jersey an island, Australia an island, makes sense.

Then I looked in another corner and they were mating there too

Rene,
What a collection!
I now know when I asked you for details of any early 40 series (F,FV,FVP,LM,LS) that you have, it wasn't a simple quick matter of going to look at a few.
Is it just the two sheds that you have? I am almost afraid of the answer!
Well done for rescuing them.
Jeremy

Well Jeremy, there are a few more sheds but I keep these quite from the wife
Re: The Rare Nesting Southern Seagull
Wow, seagull fetish or what.
I was heading that way rapidly at one point, over 20 outboards in a single garage, including a huge Archimedes and nearly as big Unitwin. So after a large clear out, and 2 motorcycles, just a SD, FV, FPC now plus others in the shed waiting for me to look at. I've decided to go down the route of a small and interesting collection, so will only be buying in a narrow field from now on.

Re: The Rare Nesting Southern Seagull
It all started with a classified "wanted" Ad for a Seagull/spares so that I could repair a couple of seized motors I picked up at a sale. Years later, Jersey being a small place, I still come home to find someone has left a motor on my doorstep.
I keep my nice motors in my main garage with several around the house ( I have to give the wife a foot massage per week to keep her happy) just nice to see them every day and a good talking point.
The reality is that most are either WSPCL's, FP's or 102's, every now and again something special comes along, not that often though but you have to take the rough with the smooth, I used to get them running as I got them but that got out of hand and at least they are under cover, I keep a register of them so I know what I have but not always sure where they are
To date, there's 173 of them but it's hard to say "no" as you never know what might turn up.
