Take a look at ebay 331336108253.

I have an identical engine to that, suspect the seller has added one nought too many!

I would like to see the REAR of the muffler ..............................

I have paid somewhat similar for something like this before. Freight if interested this one would kill it for me however.

There is a limit in total cost yes..

All depends if one has one similar or, how much one is wanted by a strange person not having one at the end of the day aye.

They are nice when minimal restoration for display is a concern.

I like it as it stands. It does need some attention to detail. Couple of hard yard bits to complete. It has been knocked about and shows related damage and short term fixes that are not very well done. Subsequently it is a display and not a transom.

It has had a hard life poor thing. :|

Else, let it get some interest as helps us all owners/keepers out in justifying rack space........ :D

Looks nice but expensive, must be worth £500 in real terms.

I doubt that anyone has a "Midi" that isn't an inboard!
Though that does look like a Midi powerhead, that someone has attached a later leg assembly & tiller arm on a homemade bracket.

Has anyone heard of a BMB going for more than £200 even when "Americanised"

It's all there and correct Charles, exactly the same as mine. this model is basically a middy with a water cooled silencer popped onto an outboard leg. Quite a rare outboard I think, dating is difficult from mid 1930s through to early 1950s when the swordfish arrived. this is only the second one of these I have seen.

I was thinking of selling my britannia actually, fully restored and does run, however the water circulation seems to require the engine to be on a transom and moving through the water. There are no tell tales so you don't know if the water is circulating or not!

Yours has the standard Middy/Mariner exhaust with what looks like the Swordfish aluminium leg with & tiller arm, doesn't the Ebay one have the stainless leg & with 1934 to 43 water scoop cooling?

What cooling method does yours use?

Mine is also a stainless leg, with a scoop behind the prop as a water inlet.

Yes a rare one the inboard version. that's the engine a forum member rebuilt last year, he sold it and it is obviously on the move again.
